It started with Brenda.
Long before there was a firm, there was a phone ringing at the kitchen table. In the late 1990s Brenda Burton was writing insurance one neighbor at a time, on the unfashionable idea that the person across from you deserves the plain truth about their money.
She raised the next generation on it. Work hard. Say what's actually going on. Treat every client the way you'd treat your own people, which, in a town this size, a good number of them already were.
Tony grew up watching that work. In 2014 he joined The Burton Group and helped grow the practice from insurance into full financial planning and investment advice. The letterhead got a little fancier. The standard behind it didn't move an inch.
Two decades on, the cast is mostly the same and so is the method: one honest conversation, one plan you can actually follow, and a phone that a person you know still answers.
